Hi! My name is Leo and I am a fourth year medical student at Bart’s. Having attained an A in my Biology A Level in 2019, the actual way examiners want to see how you answer questions is very much fresh in my mind – a skill which is hard to come by. As well as content fluency, writing answers in a methodical, concise and time efficient way is imperative to scoring more marks, and is often why students with great knowledge of the course content itself seem to struggle with hitting the high grades they are capable of, especially in ‘explain’ questions. This can be so frustrating, as it you can often feel like you don’t know exactly what’s missing from your answers. The forefront of my tutoring focuses on improving these two skills. Our tutoring sessions will be slow and informal, and we will often pause to answer any queries, concerns or questions you have on anything we go through – something that just isn’t feasible in a classroom setting. Other than tutoring, I am a huge jazz fan, and I am very excited to take my diploma in drums soon! I’m into fitness and I am in the Men’s 1st team for Water Polo in my Medical School! Above all however, my tutoring hones in on hitting your own goals. Whether it’s a 9, an A* or a Pass, I’m here to help you hit whatever targets we set.

Experience: I have been a biology tutor for over 6 years now, with an excellent track-record of helping students exceed their potential. I have tutored online for over a year in Biology, Maths, Personal Statement Mentoring and helping students prepare their applications for Medical School, which I`ve found intrinsically rewarding. I have also taught religious studies to children aged 3-13 for 6 years, so I have excellent experience teaching younger children, as well as students up to A Level too. My medical degree not only re-enforces key biological concepts, but also teaches me how to be an excellent communicator and listener. I look forward to meeting you soon and helping out!
