I have a degree in English Literature (2:1).

I am a fully qualified teacher, and have my QTS certificate (Qualified Teacher Status) to prove it. I show my CRB form on first visits and lots of testimonials from past families.

experience of exam marking for GCSE’s, leading English Departments and being classified by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding’ teacher ensures that progress is accelerated, meaningful and genuine.

My passion and focus is English, and I aim to pass this passion on to all of my students through lessons that are filled with fun, engaging discussion and exciting tasks. My particular areas of expertise is helping students to prepare for English GCSE examinations.

Availability: I am available weekday evenings and weekends dependant on necessity and availability.

Experience: I have held the post of Head of English at a school in Staffordshire, and I have led a team of exceptional English teachers. Having held other management positions in other schools as well, with management focus on both key Stage 3 and 4, I have built up a wealth of experience and knowledge that I can now put to good use within the sphere of personal tuition.

I am also an experienced examiner, having marked for a leading exam body for five years now. This has helped me enormously to build up a very clear understanding of what exam boards require from students.

Last year`s results saw a continuation of my fine record of exam success, where my class achieved 100% A-C in their GCSE examinations. My current year 11 class are predicted to have 5 A `s, 10 A grades and fifteen B grades. This will be the finest set of English class results in the school`s history.
