I have over 30 years teaching experience, including A Level, IB, Pre U, BTEC etc. I have worked in the Middle East (Oman)in the training department of an international oil company. I also worked in a college and an international school in Oman. I gained my teaching qualification in Wales and an MBA in Australia. In the UK, I have worked in the public and private sector, in schools and colleges. I spent many years teaching in an international boarding school. This was a very interesting job as I met students from all over the world, including Vietnam, China, Nigeria, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.

Availability: I am available during the week until 7.30pm and at weekends 9am-5.30pm.

Lessons can be arranged outside these hours, by agreement

Experience: I am very patient with slow learners and am able to stretch more able students. I develop self-confidence and a `can do` attitude in learners by making sure that the resources and teaching methods used are tailored to each student`s needs. I will encourage you to keep up-to-date with current issues and discuss these with me, so you can practise applying theory to real life. I will assess your strengths and weaknesses in the first lesson and draw up an individual learning plan for you. My experience in marking A level exam papers for the exam boards, means that I can help you to develop your essay writing skills, whether you are a native or non-native speaker of english. I have a great deal of experience in tutoring international students, so can help you to improve your language and essay writing skills, at undergraduate as well as A Level.
