Information about Mohammed Farhadul
I am a 3rd year Mechanical engineering student at Imperial College London who is a patient and friendly tutor that is passionate about helping others achieve their utmost potential.
As a tutor I try my best to make my lessons as engaging and productive as possible by tailoring each lesson to the needs of the student by analysing the weaknesses of my students and working on them to ensure the student builds the confidence to tackle those topics which they have struggled with in the past. Now this is done in a variety of ways depending on what the student wants. If the student wants to spend time going over the topic in a completely new light I will do so, but if they say they would rather do questions, I will happily go through questions which they have trouble with by allowing the student to attempt them and then guide them through step by step in their own solutions to allow them to learn where they are going wrong. I will also provide my own hand-written solutions which is one of the last methods I would use for going through a question as I believe every student has their own way of thinking about questions and so I will try my best to build on what they know rather than dismiss it and start from scratch.
This building of confidence in their own ability along with my friendly personality will no doubt engage the student to achieve their best.
Every week I will set a small set of questions which should solidify the students learning and also highlight any problems within that topic which can be addressed in future lessons. I am also available to answer any questions on the subject throughout the week via email/text/Whatsapp which I believe is very helpful as students can then spend time outside of lessons independently knowing they always have help at hand.
Moreover, I dont just stick to teaching content as one of my main aims is to help build a person who is confident in their abilities and is able to go out independently into the world and succeed in whatever they wish to do. This takes the form of providing helpful advice in anything from beating exam stress and UCAS applications to productivity and life in general. On the topic of University I have access to many friends/colleagues who are willing to answer any specific questions on various different STEM courses which I believe is a huge help when it comes to making the right choice for University and beyond.
Please do drop me a message if you are interested.
