I completed a PGCE in science (Biology as my specialised subject) at Kings College London. I am a very punctual and organised person and I very much enjoy working with younger people. My main tutoring techniques involves tailoring my teaching to the needs of the student by identifying their weaknesses and strengths from the start, in order to teach accordingly and productively. I also put a lot of emphasis on practicing exam questions and exam techniques. My strategies of teaching often involve more questioning rather than answering and focus the lesson on the process of learning rather than the correctness of the answer. I always try to explain concepts from different angles if the pupil is not grasping a complex or abstract topic and I find this helps in keeping the student engaged.

Experience: I have over four years of tutoring experience from tutoring during my undergraduate course and on my gap year after I completed my undergraduate degree in from Queen Mary University of London (2:1).
I also taught in two schools on my PGCE placement:
1. St. Mary`s Magdalene Academy in Highbury and Islington from October- January. Taught KS3 science and some A-level experience.
2. St. Ignatius College in Enfield from February-May. taught all secondary school years in all the sciences from KS3-KS4, expect biology only at A-level.
3. St Anne`s Catholic High School for girls, all key stages during NQT year.

I currently work as a full time tutor.
