I am a highly trained and qualified youth worker with a lot of experience working with young people of all ages. I have been informally educating young people for over 12 years full time: in the community, in school and at home. I am a qualified assessor and qualified at teaching adults at Level 3.

I have a degree and NVQ level 5 in Youth and Community Worker with 12 years post qualifying experience educating hundreds young people informally and outside of the classroom in groups and 1-2-1 in all sorts of different locations. I have very developed Maths and English skills having used them to study to degree level and in Youth Work Management. I have an active interest and knowledge in History, Geography and Religious Education having studied them to A-Level meaning that I am very knowledgeable in each of those subjects. I am a highly competent musician and sports person with Grade 5 in piano and music theory and having coached Football, Badminton, Tennis, Chess, Table Tennis.

I have been tutoring for 3 years in English, Maths predominantly for Year 2 to GCSE with a wide range of current students across the ages. I am also a Functional Skills tutor in English and Maths at Level 1 and 2.

My greatest skills are in building professional relationships, communication, building self-confidence and social skills, developing motivation and this is what I have been doing for over 15 years for hundreds of young people that I have met as a Youth Worker.

Availability: I am available during the day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and have limited availability on Saturday, I am unavailable on Sundays.

Experience: I have over 200 hours of tuition experience from Autumn 2018 alone in English, Maths, Piano and History from Year 2 to GCSE. I have received excellent reviews from my work in improving young peoples ability and attainment in English and Maths in particular.

I am currently tutoring for at least 30 hours a week with a multitude of different clients for English, Maths and Geography from Year 2 to GCSE and in piano lessons.

I have worked full-time with young people to improve their confidence, skills and abilities in a large range of areas, such as: communication, life skills, confidence, motivation enabling young people to make life changing decisions and progression. My teaching style is very holistic, thorough and thoughtful to really provide the young person with every opportunity to learn and to recall that information.
