Information about Suzanne
Hi,
Im Suzanne and have been a teacher and Education Consultant for over 25 years. I specialised in offering 1:1 tuition for children and young (and not so young!) people aged from 7 years of age onwards.
I hold a Masters level degree along with a BA (HONS)degree in Combined Studies and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), which has enabled me to teach in schools, colleges and universities.
I am up to date with curriculums currently being taught in English Primary and Secondary schools, including the new requirements for GCSES.
As a teacher I strongly believe that we should teach the way students learn. I relish working with individual learners, finding the key and unlocking the door to their success.
I am fortunate to have an amazing and fulfilling life doing what I love. I live in a very quirky house in a quiet rural village along with my multi-talented musician husband and two adorable adult sons. Four Indian Runner ducks share my garden with two elderly rescue chickens and a handful of quails. We have three dogs, the youngest is a tiny Jackchi called Buddy, who I am training to be a learning support dog. We also have a really long pink Corn Snake and a fast growing Sulcata Tortoise who has been known to accompany me on teaching sessions!

I have a lot of experience in designing and teaching personalised learning pathways to enable learners to reach their individual goals. Along with academic success this includes developing confidence, concentration, motivation, personal resilience and skills of self-management.
I can offer :
Support in specific or all areas of the primary curriculum at Key Stage 2 (7 to 11 )
Support in developing English skills in Key Stage 3
Support for Functional Skills at Levels 1 and 2

Support in developing concentration, organisation and self -management of learning.
