Information about David

I am a recent graduate of Durham University with a first class honors degree in Mathematics (MMath). I can provide tutoring in Mathematics at degree and A-level, as well as Physics at A-level, and mathematical/theoretical physics at degree level.

I am young and friendly committed to working hard and reliable. I really enjoy tutoring students, and feel a great sense of personal satisfaction from helping others in subjects I am passionate in.

Availability: I am flexible, and generally available at any time of day throughout the week and weekend. There should be no problem finding a slot which works.

Willing to travel: 20 miles

Experience: I have spent the last year tutoring A-level maths students at the sixth form center in Durham. I had very positive feedback, and great results, building up a good rapport with my students.

I tutored both gifted and struggling students in mathematics while at school, and I have had a lot of experience working with and helping my fellow university students in mathematics.

David is an engaged and thoughtful maths tutor who is helping my son be more organised in his mathematical solutions. David is also seeking ways to stretch my son’s maths.

David helped my son pass his Physics resit in just 4 weeks to allow him to carry on into Year 13 and improved his original grade by two grades. He has a friendly, patient approach to teaching and is very knowledgeable, enthusiastic and professional. He plans lessons well and ensured that my son had plenty of exam papers and questions he had set to work on in between their study sessions. David also takes time outside of the study sessions to mark the exam papers he had completed and provide feedback, which was invaluable in allowing my son to then work on any problem areas.

I would highly recommend David to anyone looking for a Physics tutor, so much so that we are continuing with him into Year 13.
