I am an experienced teacher of English and English Literature with a background in the state and independent sectors. I am patient , enthusiastic and approachable. I have two teenage children.
Availability: Weekends , evenings after 4pm
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: Teacher of English at KS 3 , GCSE and A level.
I have a successful experience of tutoring at secondary level with 5 years experience as a GCSE examiner in English Language. In addition I am an examiner with AQA for English Literature.

Kate has been amazing - she clearly has a passion for her subject and this creates such enthusiasm in her teaching. She has inspired my daughter to find meaning in the poetry work she has been set and has created a genuine interest in English literature that was missing in my daughter previously. I can`t thank her enough.

Kate has only been teaching our son for 1 month and we can already see the progress that has been made. Our son appears more confident and thoroughly engaged in the sessions with Kate who is very professional, knowledgeable on the subject and she relates well to his age group, it is clear to see that she has had many years of communicating with teenagers and gets the point across very well.
