Hi, I’m Jake!
I am a full-time online Mathematics tutor and active A-Level examiner with a First-Class Master’s degree in Mathematics. I first started tutoring over 10 years ago while studying for my degree, discovering a real passion for helping students make sense of challenging concepts. After graduating, I went on to teach the A-Level syllabus to university foundation-year students, which only confirmed my desire to teach full time.
Since then, I have worked as a full-time online tutor, delivering thousands of hours of tuition focused exclusively on A-Level Maths and Further Maths. Over the past few years, I have also been working as an A-Level examiner, marking official papers. This has given me even more of an insight into how students gain and lose marks, as well as the common pitfalls many encounter.
My role as a tutor is to understand the unique situation of every student, working closely with them and their families to provide reliable, consistent support throughout the year. I aim to communicate clearly, identify strengths and weaknesses early, and work with each student to create a clear plan for improvement.
I offer support across both A-Level Maths and Further Maths including Pure, Mechanics, and Statistics modules across all major exam boards. Please feel free to drop me a message anytime, I am always happy to chat and see how I can help!
Availability: Available weekdays between 7:30 - 19:00.

Jake was brilliant in matching my son’s needs at the last minute. He listened carefully and tailored lessons accordingly, understanding what my son needed to get his head around in the run up to A level exams.

Jake has been an invaluable tutor for my son studying further maths a-level. Jake has enabled my son to get a deeper understanding of some of the topics and really focus on exam technique. His communication has been excellent and i would highly recommend him.
