Hello everyone!

I am friendly and easy going person with passion for languages. I come from Slovakia, where I studied in a bilingual Spanish school Párovská 1, Nitra, Sección bilingüe de Ramón y Cajal. I did the equivalents of A levels in Slovak language and literature, Spanish language, literature and history, Chemistry in Slovak and Biology in Spanish. I was also awarded a C1 level State certificate for sciences in Spanish.

After that, I moved to London and got a job as an au-pair. I have been working for the same family since I arrived, spending a lot of time looking after three children, teaching them and helping them with their homework.

I am in my second year studying a BA in Language and Culture at UCL. I study Russian and French and take other content modules in culture both Russian and French, journalism and linguistics.

When tutoring, I always make sure that my classes are professional and well prepared at the same time. When working with children I try to make my classes fun because I believe that it helps to make learning easier for them. I listen to my students and adjust my classes specially for each of them according to their needs. I am ready to help with all essential parts of learning a language- reading, writing, listening and speaking.

Availability: Available anytime Monday to Sunday 9am-8pm.

Experience: I started tutoring in the summer of 2017, when I worked in a language school called Volis Academy in central Bratislava, Slovakia. I worked in different classroom settings and taught various age groups. I taught Spanish and English to employees of big companies in Bratislava, such as Electrolux and Johnson’s Controls. These were usually conducted individually or in groups of two people. I also gave private conversational lessons in Spanish and a beginner adults group lesson in Spanish that I taught two times a week and it was a pleasure to see them make the progress they did. I also worked as a lector in English camps for children where I had to teach children English in the mornings and then spend the afternoons doing different activities with them.
I have extensive experience working with children, having worked as an au-pair looking after 3 children now aged 12, 11 and 9. I tutor them in a wide range of subjects including English, Maths, History, French and Spanish and am familiar with the primary educational syllabus. Moreover, I privately tutored English to an 8 year old Spanish boy, Ernesto, who was living with his grandparents in my town in Slovakia.

I am confident in teaching English and Spanish up to fluency and Russian and French to intermediate level, and was awarded an IELTS certificate with a score of 8 points, so I am well equipped to tutor in this area.
