Hello and thank you for viewing my profile.

I am a BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science graduate (1st Class) from the University of Portsmouth, and I have just finished a position as a Copy Editor at a London-based Oncology journal.

I have previous experience with tutoring and mentoring A-level Biology and degree level Biomedical Science. Due to this experience, I will be starting my PGDipEd in Biology (Secondary Education) at the University of Birmingham in October.

In my spare time I enjoy performing at Open Mics across the city and binge-watching The Crown on Netflix.

Availability: Weekends (anytime).

Thursday and Friday evenings (from 4.30 pm).

Experience: Education:
2014-2017: BSc Biomedical Science student, obtained 1st`s throughout years 1 and 2.

2011-2013: A levels: Chemistry (B), Biology (B) and Music (C)

2006-2011: 10 GCSE`s A*-A grades, including Triple Science (AAA)

Tutoring:

Between Sept 2015-May 2017 I was a student mentor for 1st and 2nd year biomedical science students. In this position I I frequently held teaching sessions to cover any content/theories which my mentees found difficult to grasp. Subsequently, my mentees obtained very good grades in their final exams and coursework.

Throughout my 2nd year I volunteered for the Portsmouth Reading programme where I visited Ark Dickens Academy on a weekly basis to tutor 6-7-year-olds on a 1 to 1 basis in order to improve and develop their reading skills.

In my final year, I tutored an A-Level Biology student, improving his performance by several grades.
