Sophie

My name is Sophie. I am currently studying for my Masters in Speech and Language Therapy. For my undergraduate degree, I studied French and Spanish and achieved a First. I have always loved learning languages so would like the tutoring experience to be as fun as possible for my tutees so that they enjoy learning languages too.

I am particularly interested in tutoring those preparing for GCSEs but am open for discussion for other situations.

Availability: I am available for online tuition only on Mondays & Wednesdays 4pm-6.30pm

Experience: I studied French and Spanish from GCSE to A Level, achieving A* in both for both GCSEs and A Level. I then completed a degree in French and Spanish at the University of Warwick and achieved a First. I have a very high level of French and Spanish (C1 level) as I have previously worked in Spain and I completed my year abroad studying in Brussels. During my year abroad, I completed a module on Teaching Foreign Languages where I learnt about many pedagogic techniques and I planned a scheme of work for teaching French as a foreign language. When I was in Sixth Form, I taught French in a local primary school and I ran a language clinic for GCSE students who were struggling with languages where I tutored them and offered support as they prepared for their GCSEs. Overall, I have a high level of French and Spanish; I have knowledge of teaching foreign languages and I have experience tutoring young people.
