Experience: I have 15 years of tutoring experience in a variety of areas and have played piano since I was 4. Now being a mother of 2 young kids, I have decided to leave my busy career as being an engineer, I have started teaching piano from home as my main job. I am a registered and grade 8 certified piano tutor.
I have been playing the piano for over 20 years and have a YAMHA certificate equivalent to ABRSM level 8. I have also obtained piano grade 8 exam certificate for a merit from Trinity College London. Grade 8 is the highest grading in piano and equivalent to an extra of UCAS 70-75 points when a student takes A level in the UK. I aim to help students pass grade 1-8 exams. I am familiar with all of the big exam boards exam syllabus. All of my students passing rate is 100%. I also enter students for British and international federation of festival piano competition. I am passionate about teaching and always go extra the mile to make sure that my students will establish a solid foundation.
My current youngest piano student is 4. I also have music school snd grammar school students coming to me to learn piano. I try make my lessons fun and understandable for beginners. I use different materials and activities throughout my class to teach young students. I am very patient with young students. My student can play and recognize 7 notes just in one month. I am now applying for young musician award scholarships for my young students and entering some competitions.
I have a piano in my house which can be used for lessons or if you prefer to learn in your own home I can travel to you. I am happy to offer a free first lesson to see if you are interested in my teaching. I teach piano by do re mi solfa system alongside cde method.
