Information about Joe
I have A levels in maths, further maths and physics and a BSc (Hons) in mechanical engineering and am working as a full time mathematics teacher, helping students with their GCSE maths revision during evenings and weekends.
I am currently tutoring students from Year 5 to Year 11 and have also supported my son and daughters maths homework so they achieved A and A* grades at GCSE and A level.
I currently teach students either in their own homes, in my own dining room or remotely using video conference software.
One-to-one tutor sessions take place on weekday evenings, between 5pm and 9pm (check for availability).
I start by diagnosing the subject areas which need to be developed, then go through examples and problems to ensure techniques are correctly understood and applied. I have access to a library of diagnostic questions, quiz exercises and past paper questions to give you plenty of practice to memorise techniques, develop extra confidence and improve grades.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: I have A levels in maths, further maths and physics and a BSc (Hons) in mechanical engineering. Before teaching, I worked in engineering and marketing so will often relate mathematical problems to real-life situations.
I teach and tutor students to GCSE level under AQA and Edexcel syllabuses as well as students in sixth-form preparing to take A-level exams.
I hold a current Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate, valid from July 2021.
Teaching qualifications include a Schools Direct Salaried PGCE equivalent and Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Level 4 Certificate (2011).
