Having taught English and English Literature at examination level for over 30years I am thoroughly acquainted with the demands expected and the strategies required to achieve success. My period as a moderator for the A.Q.A. Examination Board has enabled me to direct my classes and teaching colleagues helping them to become more effective in their responses to coursework and examination technique. Working with young people to achieve their potential is rewarding and something which I am keen to continue.

Experience: I am a recently retired English teacher having taught at Secondary level in both private and state schools for over 30 years. My CV includes teaching periods at The Royal Grammar School Worcester, The Chase High School, Malvern and latterly at The Kings School Gloucester. I have considerable experience with examination classes at G.C.S.E. A/S and A2 level. and have worked as an exam moderator for over 15 years for A.Q.A. I have experience of teaching adult education at Worcester Sixth Form College. My degree is in English and American Literature from The University of Manchester. I completed a post-graduate certificate in education at The University of Nottingham.
