Information about Tom
I am a qualified Physics Teacher working in an 11-18 school in Sheffield.
I have a PhD in surface coating engineering and plasma science, an MSc in Nanotechnology and a BSc in Astrophysics so my background and knowledge is based in materials science and physics.
I have previously worked for a tuition company tutoring maths up to GCSE and have tutored 5 students through their GCSE science and A-level Physics exams.
I thoroughly enjoy teaching/tutoring, and I am passionate about helping others to succeed and find the confidence in themselves to tackle new problems.
My attitude towards tutoring is very open and aims to aid the student in realising their own ability.

Tom was an inspiratinal and engaging teacher, who was just right for my son who was studying A Level Physics. My son is not very communicative, however Tom approached his lessons with patience and understanding. Tom got the results he wanted and is starting University in September. Thank you Tom

Tom Morton has taught my son, A2 Physics, for a few lessons now. We would definitely recommend him as a tutor. He is always punctual, prepared for the lesson and checks at the end of each lesson, what my son would like to go through next time. He clearly knows his subject and my son finds him very easy to get along with and is learning from him.
