I am an Oxford graduate with a background in the media, and I have a friendly, kind and patient personality. I currently tutor secondary school students, including those with SEN referred through local authorities, and I am looking to expand my tutoring during evenings and weekends.

I believe every student should have the opportunity to fulfil their potential. With my guidance, I aim to bring out the very best in each person. I offer tutoring in Maths, English, Geography, History and Science at KS3 and GCSE level.

Experience: I’ve always loved learning and did well throughout school and university, studying English, Economics, Maths and Drama at A-Level before going on to read English Language and Literature at Oxford. I then spent over a decade working in the UK and abroad for The Telegraph and The Guardian.

I now work as a tutor with CatchUp Academy, supporting both primary and secondary school students. I enjoy helping young people grow their social skills as well as achieve academically and I do this by creating a rapport with students which allows them to feel comfortable asking questions.

I mainly teach Maths and English but I’m also happy to support a range of other GCSE and SATs subjects. Parents tell me their children enjoy one-to-one learning just as much as in the classroom and I take great satisfaction in following my students success and progress.
