Information about Minesh
My name is Minesh. I am an enthusiastic and hard-working 4th year medical student at Oxford University.
I obtained 11Astars at GCSE, 5Astar’s at A-level and a First from Oxford University in Medical Sciences. Throughout my education, I have adopted and perfected a solid revision method that has enabled success in my exams.
I am very passionate about teaching. I think secondary school and 6th form education can be very demanding, and would find it really rewarding to use my prior knowledge and experience to help guide students through this stressful time.
I believe I would be a good tutor because:
- I can explain complicated topics in an easy to understand way
- I know what is required by exam boards in order to get the best grades
- I keep up to date with GCSE and A level education as I also teach my two younger brothers
- I can use teaching exercises that aid memory and retention of information if required
- I am really passionate about teaching and want to provide a helping hand to students
- I am willing to devote as much time and effort as is required to help my student to obtain good results
Availability: Available on weekdays any time after 3pm if given advance notice. Weekends I am available any time, if given advance notice.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: Tutor 2nd year medicine students at the university in physiology, neuroscience and immunology.
Outreach work for Oxford University, given advice and help to AS/A2 college students as to how to get into Medicine / how to get into Oxford University. Helped with personal statements, interview and application tests.
Also informally teach my two younger brothers. I am helping one with GCSE English, Maths and Science. The other is doing A2 level in biology, chemistry, maths, physics and economics. So I am up to date with current GCSE / A level curriculum and exam paper format.
