I am currently Assistant Principal (previously Director of English) in a successful secondary school and I have been teaching and examining both English Language and English Literature for the past eight years at two highly successful secondary schools. I have privately tutored a number of students throughout this time. This his always proved to be a rewarding experience for all involved and the students I have tutored have gone on to achieve their target grades and beyond as a result. This was also the case last year with students targeted grade 5s achieveing two grade 7s.

I am a clam, patient and hardworking tutor who will ensure I do everything possible in order for my tutee to reach their full potential. I build strong relationships with students through humour and my calm approach. I make sure that all work is relevant and builds on my tutee`s needs and work done in school. In addition, I have tutored a range of exam boards including Cambridge iGCSE, Edecxel, AQA and Eduquas.

Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends. I am also willing to do sessions online.

Experience: I have been teaching at two outstanding secondary schools for the past four years. My first school consistently achieved over 90% A*-C in English each year. My results are consistently outstanding with students reaching their targets and above. Alongside this, I have also been a GCSE examiner for Cambridge IGCSE and more recently worked for AQA examining the new specification. This has provided me with the insight and knowledge of how best to tackle the exam paper. I have also attending meetings with with lead examiner for AQA and gained a wealth of knowledge and resources from this.
