- My academic qualifications include an MA postgraduate degree from UCL and BA undergraduate degree from Queen Mary`s (both Russell Group universities based in London).
- I trained and qualified as a Secondary School English Teacher with `Teach First` in 2012. I obtained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with rating `Outstanding` and the Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with `Distinction`.
- I have >8 yrs experience teaching English Language and Literature within the state education sector, holding a variety of senior positions with faculty responsibilities at multiple secondary schools across North-West London.

Sonal has tutored my son for only around 4 months before the GCSE exams.English was his weakest subject in school. However with the help of Sonal , my son at the end of the day achieved a grade 6 in English language and a grade 8 in english literature which was a surpise for all of us. Overall Sonal is an amazing tutor , extremely responsible and reliable. Throughout my time with Sonal , she pushed my son out of his comfort zone constantly giving new homework and feedback. Without her help , my son would never achieved those results.

Sonal tutored my son for his English Language and Literature GCSE ( May 2023). He struggles with both subjects and was achieving 4’s in class. I am pleased to say he received 5’s for both subjects today and we are very pleased. Sonal was a great tutor, very thorough and diligent with an excellent knowledge of the subject having been a teacher and now an exam marker. She gave my son invaluable advice with exam techniques and how to improve his marks and this undoubtedly helped to improve his confidence and his grades. I would recommend Sonal to parents looking for a tutor whether your child needs extra help or is already a high achiever but needs help with exam techniques.
