Information about Daniel
I have spent the last five years working as a Primary School teacher so have a good understanding of the Primary curriculum. I am a good communicator, friendly and most of all I like to make learning fun.
I believe it is very important to respond to the needs of each individual learner. Children must be able to explore each concept they are trying to understand and should be encouraged to ask questions. Children should not be afraid to make mistakes as they will be able to learn from them.
Availability: I will do my very best to accommodate your availability into my weekly schedule.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: After completing my Sports Science degree, I worked as a Secondary School teaching assistant for two years supporting children with a wide range of learning difficulties. The majority of my time was spent supporting children in catch up groups working towards their GCSE exams. I also spent a lot of time supporting children in PE during theory and practical lessons.
Upon completing my Primary PGCE, I began working in a Primary School and worked there for five years. I spent two years teaching PE to the whole school from Nursery up to Year 6. I then moved into the classroom to teach Year 5 for one year before moving into Year 3 for the next two years.
I have supported children in the lead up to SATs for the last five years. I have also helped to deliver the tests during this time so I am aware of what is expected of the children.

Can`t rate Daniel highly enough. As he says on his profile he makes learning fun and thinks children shouldn`t be afraid to ask questions. Our son has dyspraxia and mild dyslexia but is very bright, and Daniel is not only helping him but also supporting us in our dealings with the school. He is very positive and flexible with his teaching methods and plans his sessions with our son thoroughly looking at his needs. Our sons confidence is coming in leaps and bounds. We simply couldn`t have wished for anyone better as tutor.

Daniel has a really professional and friendly approach to his student which helps build confidence as well as understanding. He also goes the extra distance to find the type of tasks and tests that are most relevant for her learning. Really pleased we found Daniel and have no hesitation in recommending him to others.
