I have spent my life immersed in chemistry and photography making a career from explaining it to all ages, backgrounds and levels of understanding. I`m a father of three, I have a calm demeanor and an enthusiasm for science and photography.

I enjoy finding the cause of someones confusion and showing them the way past it so they come to see the how and why of the subject, and also build a love and passion for it in the process.

Availability: I am mostly available in office hours Monday - Thursday, I can occasionally arrange early evening or weekend sessions on a case-by-case basis.

Experience: I graduated from The University Of Manchester with a PhD in chemistry and spent the next 20 years in the world of chemistry, industry and the emergency services.

I have also been a professional events and family / baby & child photographer for 15 years.

I have taught forensic photography as well as chemistry and chemical safety to the first responders and hazardous chemical incident / fire investigation teams. I also am qualified in the design of digital learning (which includes video / virtual classrooms). I have mostly tutored A level students, and occasionally GCSE students.
