I am an experienced A-Level tutor in Geography and Sociology and have helped students work on summer induction tasks, as well as prep for topic retakes to improve UCAS predicted grades. I like to help build students confidence in their subject knowledge using a range of visual tools, quizzes, questions and discussions.

Over the last 10 years I have taught in a leading London Independent School, as well as a `Outstanding` Sixth Form College on the outskirts of London. Exam board specialisms include Edexcel (Geography) and AQA (Sociology). I have also taught IB Geography (DP Level). Previously, I have examined for Edexcel. I have taught online during lockdowns to classes of up to 20 students.

My subject knowledge is sound having studied Geography and Sociology at University and gained a First Class Honors BA undergraduate degree. I have a masters in a human geography related discipline, Town Planning.

In my spare time I like to cook and enjoyed ceramics courses. I am a keen educationalist and my husband works as a Deputy Head so we are never not talking about what`s happening in and out of classrooms, and the challenges young children face during their education today. I hope to be able to help you.

Experience: I have a First Class degree in Geography (BA) as well as a Human Geography related Masters degree (MA). I am currently working in an Outstanding Sixth Form College in Surrey as an A-Level Geography and Sociology teacher. I teach classes of approximately 20 students and oversee 40 NEA/coursework assignment per academic year on a variety of themes in different geographical locations chosen by students.

Previously, I have worked in the Independent Schools sector in Surrey and London for 8 years, teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5, as well as International Baccalaureate.

I have a proven track record of securing top results, as well as increasing value added in terms of significant gains based on national calculated grades.
