Is coursework proving a stumbling block? If so, I`m here to help with any of these common hurdles, as well as other Geography based challenges that you may be experiencing. My main aim is to build confidence and I welcome all abilities.

In terms of my experience I have been teaching Geography since 2010 and have tutored since 2021. I am lucky to be able to teach part-time currently, and I thrive on the contrast between large classes in school and tailored 1:1 tutor sessions.

I have been delivering A-Level Geography for almost 15 years and have worked in Independent Schools, including Whitgift School in London and Robert Gordon’s College, Aberdeen. I also have state sector experience teaching A-Level Geography at Reigate Sixth Form College in Surrey.

I have a First Class Geography degree, as well as a Masters in Town and Regional Planning. I updated my GTP QTS qualification to a PGCE in 2022 by undertaking a third university degree, and I am a member of the GTC (England) and GTCS.

When tutoring I like to use a range of visual tools, quizzes and discussions. Many tutees ask to plan or write exam questions during sessions, which can be marked live to provide instant feedback.

Many tutees have approached me for help with Y12 Induction tasks as well as re-sits between Year 12 and Year 13. During summer 2024 re-sit results included 2 and 3 grade inflations helping to boost UCAS predicted grades.

Coursework forms a key part of my tutoring experience. I can offer the opportunity to discuss NEA themes, review literature, provide ideas for data displays, as well as help plan primary data collection techniques, including GIS mapping platforms like data shine and ESRI Survey 123.

I am up to date in terms of CPD and attended Pearson (Edexcel) `Exam Insights 2024`. I have previously examined for Edexcel.

I would describe myself as an encouraging tutor who responds to individual needs. My husband is a Deputy Headteacher so we often find ourselves discussing the challenges that schools and pupils are facing today. I am an Edexcel A-Level Geography specialist and focus on tutoring pupils studying this exam board specifically. I am fortunate to have the time and opportunity to tutor and I`d be thrilled to help if the above appeals.
