Rosie

My name is Rosie, I`m 18 and I am a first year history undergraduate at the University of Durham, with a passion for musical studies. Prior to University, I attended the Leys School, Cambridge. I loved my time at school, having had various important roles, especially musically, including being a music scholar and head of choir. I have considerable musical experience, with highlights including playing a solo Concerto at Saffron Hall and recording a CD.

I have excellent general musical knowledge, having achieved a grade 9 in GCSE music, and an A* at A-Level. Moreover, I have achieved all of the ABRSM grades (1-8) in piano (most notably a 143/150 distinction in my grade 8) and a distinction in grade 5 music theory, and thus I am very experienced with the system. Additionally, I have an Associate Diploma of the London College of Music in french horn.

I am interested in a future in teaching as I believe education is the best gift you can give anyone - I am passionate about nurturing others, and instilling in them the same love of learning and opportunities that I have had. Being at University and with the current covid situation I have moved all lessons online, but the plus side is that I am available all of the time!
