I am a [contact detail removed] University graduate now working as a Science Intervention Teacher and Tutor. My working knowledge of the Science curriculum across years 7-11 is current and very thorough. I am very adept at differentiating material such that individual pupils needs are met and learning optimized. This for me, is where I am able to capitalize on my passion for teaching: I relish the task of identifying the means of learning that a pupil can best engage with so that I may then apply this to delivery.
Such delivery will always include a mix of techniques involving discussion, note taking, quick fire quiz`s, quick recap worksheets, short video`s etc. Analogies, acronyms, and relation of material to outside topics that are of interest to the student shall be utilised in order to boost retainment of material. Where the pupil takes particular interest in a topic and poses discussion and/or questions that relate to the broader scope of said topic, I nurture this interplay. Again this serves to promote retainment of material, but it also drives enthusiasm for the subject which it is hoped then translates into improved work output and advanced consideration of future employment/direction.

Experience: I currently work as a Science Intervention Teacher at a Secondary School. This involves consolidating material on the science curriculum with groups of 3-8 pupils. Pupils are in school years 9-11 (ages 14-16) and groups are organised into higher and lower ability.
