Information about Safwaan
Hey guys! My name is Saf — I’m a Chemistry graduate from Imperial College London, ranked 2nd in the world (QS World University Rankings 2026), and currently a final year medical student. I’ve been tutoring for over 8 years, specialising in A-Level Chemistry, and have supported more than 80 students from KS2 through to university level.
Many of my A-Level students have gone on to study highly competitive courses, including Medicine (Southampton [x2], Cambridge, King’s College London, Newcastle, Imperial, Manchester), Dentistry (Barts & The London), Biochemical Engineering (UCL & Sheffield), Chemical Engineering (UCL & Birmingham), Pharmacy (King’s College London), Pharmacology (Bristol), and Chemistry (Southampton, Manchester). One of my former students — now a junior doctor — ranked 3rd out of 270 in their year for A-Level Chemistry.
I began tutoring in 2017 by running revision sessions at my college to help students adapt to the new A-Level format. That early experience led to me receiving the Chemistry Award for academic performance and contribution to the department. Since then, I’ve continued to tutor both A-level and undergraduate students, including first- and second-year students at Imperial.

Safwaan is helping my son with A level chemistry for the last 2 months. He feels more confident and understands the topic better after discussing with Safwaan. In addition, my son practices past paper questions according to topic and is learning tips and trics to answer questions properly. Safwaan has helped my daughter tremendously in Chemistry. He works very well with her and gets her to work on things she doesn’t understand. She says he explains very well and enjoys lessons with him. We have had a couple lessons with him and my daughters results have improved since starting with him. Fantastic tutor. Would recommend.
