I am a driven and forward-thinking business studies and economics teacher, who strives to promote innovative methods in how the subject is taught and subsequently learnt. Currently teaching at a leading independent school and I have 9 years of experience, working with UK and international students.

In an ever-developing technological world, NFER highlights the importance of allowing for a varied repertoire of teaching strategies to ensure progress and consequently I created ‘Biz_Omics’ which currently has 1004 subscribers and nearly 136,000 views. I have created videos to support with the illustration of diagrams in Economics and for mock-commentary to support with exam technique. Please feel free to browse the YouTube and the new Tik Tok channel as this may provide an insight in my style of communication, especially when explaining key concepts.

;Upon booking, all students are set up with their own private Google Classroom which stores all lesson PowerPoints covered in lessons, past paper question banks divided into further specific topic areas, and other extensive resources to support independent learning between lessons. These are split into individual papers, sections and topics.
;;;;; Live lessons will operate using the Google Meet app and will also use the Google Docs app to complete live and on-demand interactive tasks during lessons. A full tutorial is offered in the first session to ensure you are comfortable and happy with the format. Lessons will focus on the specific areas of the syllabus that require development, where correct content will be both delivered and assessed to ensure you are set up and ready.

Availability: I am available on weekday evenings from 6pm onwards and on a Saturday and Sunday morning from 8am until midday. I am also available during school holidays, allowing for greater flexibility. This can be arranged upon request.

Experience: I have successful experience of teaching syllabi from a range of exam boards in both Economics and Business studies to date, including GCSE: OCR, IGCSE EDEXCEL and AQA. A level: AQA economics and business studies. My examination classes’ results have been significantly above the national average and shown exceptional levels of value added. Whilst leading the department at an outstanding academy in South Leeds, my A-Level classes always achieved higher than all AQA centres. Whilst working at an international school in Dubai, my shared A-Level Economics class attained 100% A*-C. My focus of the course was Paper 2 – Macroeconomics, in which the class achieved 50% A*s, 25% As and 25% Bs; one of the highest achieving set of results in the school. More recently, in 2022, again, classes achieved higher on average than all AQA and similar centres. Again, on paper 2, classes achieved 72% A* to A.

I also examined for AQA in the 2022 series for Paper 3.
