With a Ph.D in the biological sciences and extensive and diverse experience of scientific research and applied science, I have in depth understanding of science in general and the biological sciences in particular. This is particularly useful in helping students learn the skills needed for answering questions on the interpretation of scientific data, which are becoming increasingly important in exams. I am thoroughly familiar with the OCR and AQA A level Biology syllabuses.
Availability: Monday to Saturday
Willing to travel: 1 miles
Experience: I have more than five years experience of tutoring A-level Biology, with satisfied customers benefiting from tuition for as long as an academic year, and going on to achieve their goals such as entering medical school. I also have experience of teaching A-level Biology in a school environment.

Jonathan is a fantastic tutor. He’s very calm and thoughtful and explains the processes in manageable detail. He’ll take you back through to where you began to struggle in order to ensure you fully understand the basics and then builds on that until you get to where you need to be. He’s kind and approachable. I can thoroughly recommend him, particularly if you feel kind of embarrassed that you’ve really been pretending for so long to be coping when really you’ve just kind of lost the thread a long time ago and your self esteem in this subject is in tatters. He can help you underpin and structure your learning. He is just brilliant.

Great tutor, my son was struggling with certain aspects of his A Level biology and Jonathan has really helped him. We will be continuing our weekly lessons to help him achieve the grade he needs.
