I completed a Masters in Astrophysics in 2010. I then qualified as a teacher receiving a PGCE in science in 2011. Since then I have been teaching Physics at secondary schools (KS3-KS5) for 8 years. I was also the Head of Physics at an all girls school for two of those 8 years. My teaching and leadership have contributed to very pleasing results as part of the physics department; last year the GCSE Physics (AQA) results were 84% of students receiving grades 9 -7. The A Level (AQA) results were 40% receiving grades A* - A.

I believe that each student works at their own pace and I have developed the ability to push them without overwhelming them. During the last two years I have been focusing on building confidence with exam skills and resilience for those studying physics.

I will tutor for the AQA exam board only.

Availability: I am available during the week from 11am - 1pm and then again from 2pm - 5pm

Experience: I have held clinics and intervention classes for underperforming students as part of my career in teaching. I have seen much improvement in student results and self confidence as a result of one to one tutoring.
