excellent politics tutor for A level Edexcel
When my son met Matt, he was struggling to achieve the A grade he needed to secure his University place to study English. Matt helped him understand the texts he was studying and brainstorm ideas for his exams. He was always reliable, well prepared and engaging. All in all, he was an excellent tutor and I am so glad my son found him.
Matt gave my son 3 sessions of 1.5 hours each in preparation for an interview at Cambridge in December 2017 for Human Social & Political Sciences.
These sessions (on skype) were partly advice and discussion about how to prepare and play the interview, and partly mock-interview.
Matt himself has gone through this process (twice) for entry to Oxford so he knew exactly what is expected of the applicant, and how the interview would run.
My son greatly appreciated these sessions and there is no doubt this gave him real confidence on the day. The interview therefore had no surprises.
Matt was always reliable, and a pleasure to deal with. He was very responsive, gave me feedback when asked and was at all times very professional.
I would highly recommend...
Just waiting now to see whether my son is offered a place..!
Matt is an amazing tutor who is intellectual, punctual and organised. He has, most definitely, been a catalyst in the success of my son in A Level English Literature. Matt makes the subject enjoyable and I would recommend his services to anyone who wishes to reach the pinnacle of success in the subjects he offers!
Matt has just started to tutor my daughter and has a real passion and commitment to ensure she does well. She says he is an excellent tutor
Matt is an absolutely amazing tutor!
My son was lucky enough to benefit from Matt`s inspirational Politics tuition for a few months this Summer leading up to A levels.
He had had a clash of personalities with his school Politics teacher and was in desperate need of a complete brush up of the entire curriculum.
Matt always arrived here well prepared, on time, and enthusiastic, even when my somewhat moody, teenage son, wasn`t!
Nothing was too much trouble and Matt regularly went the extra mile, whether that be with chivvying, pep talking or staying on a bit longer, on occasion.
My son enjoyed his lessons, particularly Matt`s special interest area of British Politics and began to refind his interest in the subject.
I eagerly anticipate the A level results later this month, but, whatever they may be, I know that my son`s grade will have improved immeasurably with Matt`s industry, enthusiasm and unwavering support.
