Information about Tim
Maths can be fun!
Let me help you with my friendly and relaxed approach to learning. I will take the time to lead you at your own pace, ensuring that you have grasped each concept before moving on to the next. One-on-one teaching can help to isolate problem areas, work through them together, and build confidence where it is lacking.
I will plan lessons tailored to your needs, ensure all work is marked and provide detailed feedback. In the lead-up to exams, I will be there to inspire confidence!
If you feel nervous about committing to a tutor you don`t know, that`s quite understandable. Why not arrange for a trial lesson without obligation and without charge? If you`re happy, then we can take it on from there.
I would love the opportunity to encourage you, to bring out the best in you, and to see that translate into excellent results.
I am currently only offering online tutoring, using professional virtual classroom software.
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: I am currently tutoring a number of students in the Sunderland area. I have had 6 years experience in teaching at a Further Education college in Salisbury, and a PGCE awarded by Greenwich University. I have learnt Maths to degree level (BSc in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Newcastle University). I have tutored my daughter (who is home educated) in her GCSE Maths and other science subjects, and I even attempt to assist her with her degree course in Chemistry!

We highly recommend Tim. Reliable and always on time. Quick to establish the level and learning needs of our child, and prepared lessons appropriately. We saw a positive improvement in our child`s confidence and approach to their maths work.
