Information about Max
Hi, my name is Max.
I`ve taught Mandarin Chinese to people of different ages, including children, as well as teenagers and adults. I grew up in the UK, I`m part Chinese, and studied Mandarin Chinese at university.
I speak fluent Mandarin, and have experience of not only speaking to friends in Mandarin, but also using Mandarin in other settings such as in different working environments, particularly in the area of media, where I have a large amount of experience communicating with colleagues in Chinese, and have also done news reports in Chinese. I have also studied, worked and travelled in China.
Apart from this, I`ve also learned basic Cantonese.

I`ve worked for different Chinese media companies, in the UK and China, in total working in Chinese media for several years.

I have been doing weekly classes with Max since the beginning of the year and every week I look forward to the next session since I can easily see the improvement in my vocabulary and understanding of Mandarin. Max always checks on the pacing of the sessions and has ample material to go through whilst always asking what I want to cover to go along with any plans I may have. What I was looking for was both a tutor who has the technical understanding but more importantly can teach the real life situational conversations I would have (and what Mandarin speakers actually say)...and Max has this balance down perfectly for my learning style. If you are looking for a tutor to learn mandarin that is actually useful in real life situations, whether it be in a restaurant or meeting new people, Max is the tutor for you.
