I am currently studying Nursing in university and have previously tutored students from ages 6 to 16 in Mathematics, Science (mainly Biology but have done chemistry too) along with English and History.

I believe the best way to teach a child is to go through a sub topic, make sure they have properly understood that topic and give them a test at the end of the session. Then leave them with some homework to bring back for the next session. I also believe it is crucial to make sure the previous sessions work is ingrained in them by giving them a quick test at the beginning of the next session. After finishing the whole topic (for example algebra) they will be then given a test to complete in exam conditions.

During my time at school, I had many roles like Lead Mentor, Prefect, Communications Officer and Form Captain. My desire to help others stems from the experiences I have had. I like to balance my time out by enjoying hobbies such as reading, story writing and art.

Experience: I have previously tutored for 3 years in Biology Chemistry and Physics for students aged 6 to 15 and have also tutored in Math, History and Art. My students were usually those who lacked in motivation and understanding of the subjects. The students I have previously tutored managed to bump their grades up by 2 to 3 grades from their teacher predicted grade (for example in additional science: the grade predicted was a D but they achieved a B).
