Information about Carly
I am a fully qualified English teacher and teach both English Literature and English Language for students aged 11-18.
Availability: Monday - Friday 5.30pm - 8.30pm
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing which I followed up with an MA in Creative Writing and Pedagogic Studies in 2010. Since qualifying as a teacher in 2014, I have become Literacy Coordinator and I have experience of marking for AQA exam board for the current English Language exams. My class results average at around 96% A*-C/ 4-9.
I have experience working with young people from a range of backgrounds, particularly those who struggle with their mental health. I always tailor my sessions to meet the needs of the young person I am working with.

My 15 year old son has the following feedback about Carly- she is friendly and she involves the student, gives clear explanations and focuses on weak areas. She brings work to do and provides clear verbal and written feedback.she is happy to look at different areas of work and go thru school work / exam questions.We get thru a lot of work in the hour session and I am finding it really helpful.

She is always on time and well prepared. She is able to explain and tutor my son very well. My son has already noticeably improved. Her level of teaching is very high standard.
