I am recently retired (early) as I having many family responsibilities. I taught for 28 Years and was a very successful Head of Science for 15 of those years. I can offer A level Chemistry tutoring and GCSE in all three Sciences.

Experience: I have taught all three Sciences to GCSE both Combined Science and Separate Science to all grades at Foundation and Higher. My specialism is Chemistry and I wish to tutor A level Chemistry but can also offer a GCSE service. From my role as Head of Department and leading the development of teaching and learning for my team I have an extensive knowledge base that give me understanding of where a student needs to be within each Science Subject at GCSE and for A level Chemistry for every grade and for Foundation and Higher. I am expert at breaking concepts down and building them up layer by layer to enable full understanding and unpicking where students are struggling to enable them to overcome cognitive hurdles. I am very experienced and have been a very successful classroom practitioner.
