Hello! I`m a friendly, patient tutor based in SE London, with a BA and MPhil in English from Cambridge University. I love language and literature, and my aim is to get my students to find enjoyment and confidence in what we work on, and to reach their full potential.

I know some students might struggle with how open-ended English exam questions can be, so I try to teach in an organised and logical way, making sure each topic is broken down into manageable parts that the student can then piece back together.

I teach English - both Language and Literature - to students from GCSE to degree level and adult learners. I also have an MA in Creative Writing and experience teaching it at all levels, and can help with more general aspects of writing as well (essay writing, proofreading, grammar, EPQs, coursework etc.) as well as university admission help (personal statements, interview preparation, etc.) I also have experience with IELTS and other EFL exam preparation.

Experience: In addition to my academic studies, I have 6 years of tutoring experience in both Cambridge and London, both in-person and online. I have experience with international students, students with dyslexia and other special requirements, classroom teaching in school and university settings, as well as a lot of one-to-one teaching.

I have helped students with A Levels and university admissions - five students I`ve worked with have got into either Oxford or Cambridge to study English. More recently, a student I tutored for English Literature A level went from a C to an A in a couple of months.

I have a full DBS check, and have gone on several teaching courses.
