I enjoy teaching English to speakers of other languages.

Currently I am only teaching online for social distancing reasons. Normally I could also teach you in your home or in a cafe or bar – I particularly like Bedminster.

I work with learners aged 18 and above.

Availability: I can teach most hours between 8am and 10pm, both on weekdays and weekends. Advance booking may be needed to ensure my availability, especially outside of normal working hours (9am-5pm, Monday to Friday).

Experience: - Worked as an Assistant Professor at Heriot-Watt University in summer 2020, teaching an online pre-sessional course in English for Academic Purposes
- Tutoring 1:1 conversation classes since 2019, including online in 2020
- Taught summer classes in 2019 at International House and Oxford Intensive School of English (OISE)
- Worked in the English Language Teaching department at Oxford University Press
- First class BA in English language and literature from Oxford University
- Distinction-level MPhil in criticism and culture from the English faculty at Cambridge University
- PhD in art history from the Open University
- As a trained copy-editor and proofreader, I have worked with graduate students, academics, and professional authors, including non-native English speakers
- Completed a CELTA course (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at International House Bristol in April 2019
