Experience: I have worked in state secondary schools as a teaching assistant. I have also privately tutored GCSE and A-level Maths, English and Science over the last 5 years. These included 1-1 lessons, as well as groups of 5-6 children. I pre-plan unique lessons that will keep the students interested and at the same time help them learn efficiently. I also track their progress to ensure they know and can see how much they have progressed.
To my delight, all my students see a progression in their academic results. I am confident in my subject matter knowledge and my teaching abilities. The pressure young students face these days with the new curriculum and its more complicated concepts are definitely hard to deal with in just a 1 hour lesson of science in the 7 hour day. Hours outside of school and during the weekends will definitely help pick up students` confidence in Science and Maths.
