I am currently teaching in the independent sector, and I have taught in one of the UK`s highest achieving boys schools for the past 7 years and now I teach at one of the leading girls schools.

I also have experience teaching in colleges where pupils ambitions are simply to pass their GCSE and A-Levels with a grade that reflects their potential. Prior to teaching, I worked as a research scientist on conservation genetics and taught at university. I have also worked as an examiner during this time and written material for Edexcel.

Availability: My current availability is weekends, weekdays during the evenings

Experience: I have taught in the UK`s top independent schools over the last 13 years, and I have been tutoring for the past 7 years. My results are excellent for both GCSE and A-Level. Last year, all my GCSE pupils achieved a grade 9, except for one grade 8. My results at A-level are equally impressive, with a 100% A*-C record over the last 7 years. I have taught and tutored across a range of exam boards, including IB.

I will always push people to question and explore science with an open mind. I use coaching and various pedagogical techniques to allow all students to work through the answers. In my sessions I also embed exam technique and study skills so that pupils can carry forward the skills they learn, and not just the knowledge they gain. My sessions are personalised and will often change direction to allow pupils to gain a full appreciation for the science and reasons behind the topics they are learning.
