I am an experienced English Language and Literature teacher specialising in the AQA syllabus. I teach KS3, KS4 and KS5 (years 7 through 13) using a variety of teaching and learning strategies adapted to suit individual students` needs.

Effective learning requires clear learning objectives, a series of scaffolded learning tasks and regular, specific feedback. I adapt the lessons and strategies to fit the student`s needs and believe a pupil learns more effectively when engaged through interesting, relevant and accessible tasks.

I regularly review and update my teaching and learning methods to maintain an up to date approach and remain in touch with syllabus changes through communication with relevant boards, and examination and coursework reports.

I have been CRB/ DBS checked as part of my employment as a teacher and am up to date with all Safeguarding procedures.

I am available after school hours and on weekends.
