Information about Alexander

Hello,

I`ve been teaching students of all ages and abilities for over 5 years. I have experience teaching painting and drawing to both children and adults, on a one-to-one basis and to groups. I teach with energy and enthusiasm and find teaching very inspiring myself. I have a great art historical/theoretical knowledge, and engage very much with contemporary practice. I am very conscious of the level of the pupil and therefore adapt my teaching approach to each individual student respectively. I teach to help individuals with their GCSE/A level coursework I also help students prepare portfolios for art scholarships, entrance exams and for higher education. I also have experience homeschooling students.

I received a 1st Class (hons) degree in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins School of Art, UAL. I have a continued history of exhibition/prize/scholarships. My area of expertise is drawing and painting from observation and Screen printing. I can offer my technical expertise in: perspectival drawing, anatomy, oil painting and colour mixing. I encourage my students to visit and draw outdoors and from and Gallery collections.
;;;;
;;;;I can provide professional and practical critique on existing work and discuss with students their practice in the wider context of the world of contemporary art and aesthetics.

For the last 13 years I have worked as an artist, making paintings, drawings, and installations, and I have exhibited in galleries across Britain and Worldwide. I also enjoy and taking workshops and drawing classes, which I see as an important part of my work as an artist and tutor. I also achieved 100% in both my Fine Art A Level and my Fine Art GCSE.

I hold a DBS enhanced clearance.

In my spare time, I enjoy mountaineering, running, skateboarding, snowbaording, skiing, reading, walking, organising and participating in adventure sports expeditions to some of the worlds highest mountains.
