I retired from teaching 2 years ago and I am now a full time tutor. I have taught in State and Private schools in Oxford since 1976. I have taught Further Maths and A level Maths mostly as well as G.C.S.E. Recently I have taught in a Middle School in Leek having moved to Staffs in 2003.

I was Head of Maths at The Dragon School in Oxford and second in department for most of my career ( up to leaving Oxford)

Availability: Available any day from 9am to 7 p.m.
Can travel further than 9 miles but would have to charge more ( £30 ).
I can offer A level subjects Pure Maths and Mechanics and any level below that
ie GCSE and Key stage 2( SATS ) or Entrance Exam to Independent Schools
I have a passion for teaching Maths and really enjoy one to one tutoring.

Experience: I have taught maths for over 40 years to children from age 8 to 18. Two years ago I taught 2 year 8 pupils from a middle school in Leek and they both achieved A* grades at GCSE with only 6 months teaching. I have tutored most of my teaching career. I have had great success in tutoring pupils nearly all achieving above expected grades.

I have been an examiner for key stages 3 , 4 and 5 and this helps in preparing students for exams.
I have never had a student fail to get his/her required grade in all the years I have been tutoring.
