I am a very experienced and dedicated teacher of over twenty years’ experience. I started my career as an actor, training at one of the best drama schools in London The Drama Centre London, which is internationally acclaimed and recognised. I then decided to retrain as a teacher and have been teaching Drama for over fifteen years in various institutions with incredible success. The longest of which where I was for 10 years is of the top ten sixth form colleges in the country.

My philosophy is allowing the student to flourish through finding their own creativity and voice through the art of Drama and English Literature. I believe they are such powerful art forms as they transcends the art itself and allows the learner to see how it can impact their daily lives both on a personal and professional level. It develops self-confidence, team work, independent thinking, problem solving, sight reading and confidence in public speaking to name but a few. In my experience as a teacher I have always had 100% pass rate with my students, raising their level of expertise and allowing them to foster a love for the art form. I am a very supportive teacher and have always willingly offered my students my time, if required, outside of timetabled lessons. Providing extra support with the academic elements of the play or with extra rehearsals for the practical work.

I have a great passion and I believe deep knowledge of my subject area and I really enjoy imparting that passion to my students and seeing how they interpret work and create the work, it’s always so inspiring to see their application of the knowledge they accrue over the course of the year.

I have also taught in many different institutions teaching EFL, with great success. I have taught students from all over the world; Asia, Central and South America, the Middle East, Africa and Europe. I enjoyed learning about their cultures and customs as well as imparting knowledge to them about my own. I have a very rigorous and regulated approach to teaching English, allowing the students many opportunities to talk and develop their understanding of the language and all its idiosyncrasies. Allowing them to use their language skills in a practical and useful way.

I have also tutored students in English Literature, English Language, LAMDA, Voice and audition practice for over ten years, in addition to my regular teaching appointments
