I am a fully qualified teacher of Spanish and French with over 25 years` experience teaching at secondary level (up to A level), as well as adults and primary aged and preschool children. I am experienced with tutoring for exams, and have enjoyed adapting also to learning in the early years, and have been running children`s classes for 15 years based on singing, games, plays and more. I am full of enthusiasm for and commitment to my teaching.
Availability: I have availability on some weekdays daytime and evenings. I also teach on Saturday mornings and Sunday from 5pm. I always have more availability to take on new students after my year 11 and 13 students have done their exams .
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I started my career in a Secondary School and had experience up to A level. I now tutor at the same level. I have run a business teaching groups of Primary aged and Preschool children for the last 12 years and also have plenty of experience teaching adults one to one and in groups. I work part time as a Spaish and French teacher in a secondary school.

Thank you Sonya for an excellent Spanish lesson this week. Sonya came prepared with a number of different reading, listening and speaking exercises to try out to assess my level and was supportive in helping me to grasp new vocabulary, an understanding of unfamiliar tenses and enhance my pronunciation. Unfortunately, due to my upcoming travel and scheduling challenges we unfortunately won`t be able to continue our lessons. However, I really appreciated Sonya`s support and patience with me during this taster lesson, which has fired a determination in me to pick up this beautiful language again! I would highly recommend Sonya as a teacher - should you be looking for lessons for yourself or a family member.

Sonia is a patient and understanding tutor who tailors each lesson to the needs of my daughter. I find her genuinely kind and caring in nature. She is an excellent tutor of French; her lessons are enjoyable and thorough - she is tutoring my daughter towards GCSE French. She is encouraging and she has built my daughter’s confidence in speaking and writing French. She is reliable and flexible. I would recommend Sonya without hesitation.
