Hi, I am Ashley. I tutor GCSE sciences and mathematics to KS3-4 students; I can work virtually and in person. As a tutor, I ensure that my students get the most from a one-to-one experience. I typically deliver one-hour lessons and provide weekly homework to assess their learning. After we complete a topic, the student will complete a test that will test their knowledge throughout the weeks of the topic. As the tutor, I will provide a document called the progress log, which indicates the strengths and weaknesses of the student where they are expected to work on the weak areas of the topic for revision.

To ensure that the student`s progress is informed to the parents I always give a brief feedback through phone call or email to give an update on the student`s progress on each lesson. These are essential for the students to build their confidence with testing and learn to build revision skills accordingly so that parents can support them.

Experience: I have previously worked at a tuition centre, conducting weekly group sessions. This was where I had to plan lessons, provide homework to the students, and assist them through any troubles with their understanding of the topic.
Furthermore, I would have to meet with the parents to give brief outlines of the child`s progress.
