I am a hard working, friendly professional who is committed to helping people learn and reach their full potential. I have a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiology with Pharmacology from the University of Sheffield and my PGCE was gained at Durham University. In addition, I also have experience working within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
Availability: Evenings and weekends.
Willing to travel: 30 miles
Experience: Five years of teaching experience gained in secondary schools across the North East. Taught KS3 Science, GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Physics (AQA and OCR syllabuses) and A-level Biology and Chemistry. Tutored Biology and Chemistry at A-level and Science at GCSE.

My son felt like he was struggling to get to grips with his A level chemistry. Amy explained things in a way that he found interesting and easy to understand. As a result, his confidence grew, which was duly noted and commented upon by his teachers. He attained a really good A level result which we don’t think he would have, had it not been for Amy. She arrived promptly to the sessions and, if she needed to change a date or time, she always let us know well in advance. I would highly recommend her.

Amy is great . She has been helping my daughter now for 3 weeks studying for A level Chemistry. A lovely reliable professional tutor who is already having a positive effect with my daughter. Highly recommend her .
