After completing a degree in Psychology, I then did my PGCE and have worked as a teacher and a tutor for the past 20 years. Outside of work I enjoy being outdoors and am a qualified run leader and have done a number of long walks, most recently The Pennine Way, camping most of the way. I love getting out wild camping with my dog and also recently discovered paddle boarding- I am hoping to combine the two soon! My other, more sedentary, hobbies are cross stitch, reading, and looking after my large selection of plants- both indoors and out!

Experience: I qualified as a Key Stage 2/3 Teacher with Maths Subject Specialism from Homerton College, Cambridge in 2002. I have gained a variety of teaching experience both in mainstream and special needs as well as home tutoring. I worked for 8 years at a secondary school for children with behavioural and emotional difficulties as a Maths specialist and have experience with ADHD, Autistic Spectrum and Attachment Disorder. I have also done a lot of work with children in the Looked After System. I now specialise in teaching maths online, specifically for home schooled autistic children and I am finding it very rewarding, I have a relaxed but efficient approach to tutoring and I have enjoyed positive feedback from pupils and parents. I expect my pupils to put their best effort into the sessions to make the most of our time together and I am happy to set homework tasks if required.I have been a Grade A Maths SATs Marker since 2004 and enjoy marking the SATs Papers every summer. I have a complete and current DBS certificate and currently work as a tutor on a freelance basis.
