Information about Samantha
I`m a highly experienced maths teacher and have excellent subject knowledge at both GCSE and A level .I`m friendly, easy going and get excellent results through building good relationships with my students.
The sessions I run are specifically designed for each individual student. This takes into account the level they are currently working at, target grade, their areas for development and preferred learning style.
At GCSE and A level I build into each session past exam questions, including problem solving questions using the techniques learnt in the lesson.
I am happy to set homework questions to build upon the skills covered and will mark and give feedback on any work completed. In addition, I provide a plan of work to be covered for the term/ year after consulting with students and parents.
Availability: I have availability after school , evenings and on Saturday.I continue to work throughout most school holidays wherever students want to continue lessons

Experience: I have been a maths teacher for 28 years in different secondary schools throughout the West Midlands and South Yorkshire. My roles within school have been varied and include head of maths and lead practitioner. In addition, I have also spent part of my career as a maths advisor within the school improvement sector, developing teaching and learning in a range of secondary schools. I am up to date on all the recent changes in GCSE and A level maths.

My daughter`s confidence and knowledge in maths really came on with Sam`s expert tuition. She was comfortable with Sam who was able to tutor her in a way that she understood which in turn improved her level of understanding in how to tackle maths problems and her confidence to do so as she was getting answers right. Sam`s sessions were aligned to the topics my daughter was being taught at school which was really helpful and her test scores improved as a result of her tutoring sessions. I highly recommend Sam as a tutor.

Samantha has been teaching my son for the last 6 months. I must say that my son is really enjoying his lessons with Samantha especially as he is studying GCSE Further Maths and Statistics. Samantha has made his learning lot easier than he expected. I would definitely recommend Samantha for any Math lesson. Many thanks for all your support Samantha.
